Rickshaw

We don't use rickshaws as a way of transportation anymore in Japan, however, we see
quite a lot of them at tourist spot and I saw them yesterday at Myohonji, Kamakura.
It costs USD175 for 1hour for 2 persons and could be most expensive in the world.
Since memories are priceless, why don't you try it at tourist spot in Japan...?

  1. You saw my post of the rickshaw in Sendai in the early 1950s. I wonder if they are still waiting for passengers at the train station? I never saw any of them in 1954 when I was at Kamakura. Saw lots of school kids on an outing.

  2. Thank you for your comment. These days, they are waiting at famous tourist spot, not train station.
In case of Kamakura, Rickshaws are available near Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
I think they become popular in this 10 years.
